Washington County Park System

There is something for everyone within the Washington County Park System. Glaciers shaped the rolling hills and lakes that provide all types of recreational opportunities. Restrooms & picnic areas at all locations. Park hours are 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. seven days a week. Goeden County Park - Newburg

This park is a popular spot for canoeing and fishing on the Milwaukee River. There is a scenic nature trail that winds its way along the river and through a wetland. 5 acres. 1 reservable shelter. Open April thru November. Play Equipment.

 

Glacier Hills County Park - Hubertus

An excellent example of a glacier moraine with rugged terrain, wooded trails and picturesque views of Holy Hill is Glacier Hills County Park. There is 1200 feet of Friess Lake frontage. The park is excellent for bird watching. A large hall and chapel may be reserved for groups. 140 acres. 4 reservable shelters. 1 heated shelter. Hiking trails. Snowmobile trail access. Fishing. Heritage Trails County Park - Slinger

With 234 acres of rolling Kettle Moraine hills, valleys, and meadows, Heritage Trails County Park provides many panoramic views, miles of hiking trails and picnic opportunities. 234 acres. 1 reservable shelter. Open April thru November. Play equipment.

 

Cedar Lake County Wayside - West Bend

Cedar Lake County Wayside is a five-acre park that provides a wooded picnic area for family enjoyment. Open April thru November. Hiking Trails.

 

Lizard Mound County Park - West Bend

A self-guided anthropological nature trail winds around more than 20 well preserved Effigy Mounds. Trail markers reveal the vast history of the extinct culture who built these unique features. This intriguing site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Open April thru November. Historical site.

 

Ridge Run County Park - West Bend

Evidence of glacial activity abounds in this heavily visited park with its steep ridges and valleys. Anglers, birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts will enjoy showy seasonal displays. 140 acres. 6 reservable shelters. 1 heated shelter. Hiking trails. Fishing. Play equipment. Sand volleyball. Sandy Knoll County Park - West Bend

Sandy Knoll has been developed to meet the demands of larger group activities. Scenic nature trails wind around prairie, woodland and pond areas. 267 acres. 4 reservable shelters. 1 heated shelter. Washington County Family Park - Hartford

Family Park provides a diverse group of family oriented recreational facilities. A large pond and wetland area enhance the beauty of this park. 15 acres. 1 reservable shelter. Open April thru November. Play equipment. Sand volleyball. Lighted parking.

 

Ackermann's Grove County Park - West Bend

The newest addition to the Washington County Park System is Ackermann’s Grove. This park provides a boat launch and boasts spectacular views of Little Cedar Lake. Natural woodland and wetland areas add to the splendor of this 63 acre park.
